Today I fixed the hole in the fence. I've been promising Dan that I would get it done, and I was looking for something to distract me from the stress I am feeling about the current, unplanted, state of my seedlings. I spent about twenty five bucks on cedar planks and a 2x4. Now I need to stain the thing.
Kris's hops have all sprouted, but two. I installed corrugated metal planters around three of the seven hops he has planted. That way I can walk through the area without worrying about stepping on the hops. I ran out of time before I could do the other four, but not before I figured out that my kettlebell serves as a decent makeshift sledgehammer in a pinch. I also used it to pound four stakes amongst the hops trellises that will support chicken wire cylinders, in which I am going to try to grow potatoes.
